Wonderhop
How to play Wonderhop
Wonderhop is a free daily game in your browser. Each question asks you to name something ("Name a food many people hate"), and each game has its own goal: the answer everyone gives, the one nobody gives, the oldest or the newest. If you like Wordle and daily games, it is the same daily ritual, played with your own words.

- Pastthe oldest answer
- Futurethe most recent answer
Rules
- Every day, four games of seven questions, the same for everyone. 30 seconds per question.
- Sky: always give the most common answer. The more popular it is, the higher you climb toward space.
- Abyss: always give a rare answer. The rarer it is, the deeper you sink toward the trench.
- Each answer earns up to 100 points: your score is the total, out of 700.
- Past and Future: give the oldest, or the most recent, answer. It's compared with the other answers to the same question, and each good answer sends you centuries through time.
Points
Perfect · Great · OK · Weak
Perfect, in gold: only THE best answer on the list (the #1 in Sky, the rarest or under 0.5% in Abyss, among the oldest or newest 5% in time).
Frequently asked questions
- Is Wonderhop free?
- Yes. The 4 daily games are free, with no ads. An optional Hop Pass (a single payment of 5 USD, for life) unlocks unlimited play, themed packs and the archive of the last 10 days.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You play right away in your browser, on a phone or a computer. You can pick a nickname for the leaderboard.
- When do the questions change?
- Every day at midnight, Montreal time (Eastern Time). Everyone gets the same questions on the same day.
- Which answers are accepted?
- Any real answer. Each question has a long list of answers, and a judge checks the ones that are not on it. A made-up or wrong answer is refused, and you can type another one before the timer runs out.
- How do points work?
- Each question is worth up to 100 points: 700 per game, 2,800 per day. Perfect (gold) goes to the best answer on the list, then come Great, OK and Weak.
- Is it like Family Feud or Pointless?
- A little. Sky is close to Family Feud: you look for what most people say. Abyss is close to Pointless: you look for what almost nobody says. Past and Future add time: the oldest or the most recent answer.
- Where do the percentages come from?
- Each question comes with a list of answers and an estimate of the share of people who give each one. In Past and Future, the year of each answer is what counts.
- Can I see the answers of past days?
- Yes: the questions and best answers of past days are public. Today's stay secret.
- Which languages?
- 10 languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish and Indonesian. Answers are accepted in the player's language.
