30 survey questions for family game night
No board, no buzzer, no survey company: for a survey game at home, the survey is your group. Everyone writes an answer to the same question, then you reveal them and see who thinks like the majority.
Here are 30 questions that work well for it, sorted by theme, with the rules, two variants and a few tips for the host. They were written for this page: they are not questions from the Wonderhop daily games.

How to play at home
- Give everyone paper and a pen. One person is the host and reads the questions.
- The host reads a question out loud. Everyone writes one answer, without talking or looking.
- Everyone reveals their answer, and you count which answer came up most often.
- Everyone who wrote the most common answer scores a point. If two answers are tied, both score.
- Play 7 questions, then add up the points: the player with the most wins the round.

Variant: the rarest answer
Turn it around: now you score only if nobody else wrote your answer. The answer has to be real and fit the question, and the group can veto a joke answer by majority. It is the same idea as Abyss, the reverse game of Wonderhop.
Variant: teams
Split into two teams. For each question, each team whispers and writes one shared answer, while the players who are not on a team write their own. A team scores when its answer matches the most common one.
Tips for the host
Keep a strict timer: 10 seconds per question is enough, and quick answers are the most honest. Count spelling mistakes, plurals and small variations as the same answer. Prefer questions with many possible answers, never questions with only one right answer.
Compare your group with everyone
At home, the majority is your table. In Wonderhop, it is every player who answered the same question that day, in 9 languages. After your round, play the daily games together and see if your group thinks like everyone else.
Questions
- Where are the answers?
- There are none, on purpose: in this game, the right answer is whatever your group writes most often. That is what makes every game night different.
- Can I print these questions?
- Yes, they are free to use for a family evening, a party or a classroom.
- Are these the questions of the daily game?
- No. They were written for this page. The daily games have their own questions, new every day, and their answers are never published.
- Is it like Family Feud?
- It is the same spirit, Family Feud or Family Fortunes, without the survey: your group plays both the survey and the contestants.
